That will be some serious BOOM! You have to play some old EPMD "Stricktly Business" on that system when it's done. That's some old skool **** with some heavy bass.

lol i know that tracc, i used to have this in my 96 grand am, sold the subs out of it a year or so ago, today i decided to try to fit it, it fit

im surprised it did cause i had it measured to 37inches to the width of the trunk and what im surprised about is that the g5/cobalt trunk is just a lil bit wider, not sure y but it is.

3 12's in a single chamber? not bad. How many cubic feet?

I'm working on 4 12's in two separate boxes, with a single chamber for each sub

My boxes are currently in production

That's great if you will never use your trunk.

hey hackabuse, i seen the pics of your setup in your other thread, your's should sound loud and look very clean, i'll have to get back on the cubic inches/ft for ya, it was from my grand am and i was spec'd to 3 sealed Alphasonik 400 series 12"

im not too much of a show car fanatic, that is, well, if i had money for another car maybe i'd do an actual show car, but i have always wanted to win an audio comp somewhere for db, right now i dont even have the 3 subs that were in it cuz i sold them over a year ago, and the amp i had running it has a few probs

there is stil plenty of space in the trunk, if you look at the top corners, they are against the crassbar that goes accross the top of the trunk, if i cut the box at an angle at both those corners, it will slide in to the very back of the rear seats, thus opening up double the trunk space left that you currently see, it wont be a big angle cut, about an inch n a half i beleive it worked out to be,

Well they are specifically designed for a 2cu ft sealed box, but right now I have ONE of them in a .75 cu ft box (way to small for the sub). And the one 12 is damn near as loud as my two tens were in a bandpass box, plus the SQ is amazing, no comparison. I can't wait until my other two speaker boxes are finished being made! I should be hitting in the neighborhood of 139-141dB, but I really just want good SQ

The reason I went with Soundstream is because I got all four subs for $225 in mint condition, otherwise i would have gone with JL

I've requested to the shop that they finish by friday, as soon as they are in the trunk I will begin testfitting/fabbing the panels, as soon as they fit, I will upholster

Honestly if you really want some bump and you have some cash, I'd go for FI Audio
