clarion touchscreen

Hey all just baught a clarion touchscreen. Was wondering if I actually had to buy the harness adapter(06 cobalt lt coupe). If not what are the downfalls. As it sits now I quick conectored it to the harness individually, and manually found speakers,ground,12v,ect...Thanks

any body know any serious issues?I see one dark green wire i believe it is,when i touched the + of the speaker wire to it kicked on my ABS light and made others go out.It still is not hooked up.thanks

well the gm lan is a purple wire i believe. either way your tapping something that needs not be tapped. Personally i wouldn't attempt to hard wire it for no reason. buy the cheap harness (70-2103)for 20 bucks or the expensive one for 50 (xsvi-2103) so you don't have to worry about it.

also remember there isn't an ACC in that harness

what he meant was the rap for the radio. since finding an acc wire that has the rap too isnt always easy

I got my xsvi-2103 on ebay for $14. If you can find it for under 20 spring on it if not like he said go with the cheap one and run a line to the fuse panel.

wow, you have no idea how wrong you are, RAP controls the power going into the radio , and with the XSVI-2103 it would allow you to have the radio on even with the key off , untill you open the door. Before you say something silly like that , get your facts straight.
