Comp. Package Boostgauge/Ladder Tach question

so i just finished installing it but instead of tying the tach power wires to the fuse panel i tied it to the radio, not a good idea, makes the lights go dim when you turn your lights on and they wont stop blinking even after the car is off, about to go back out and mess with the knobs to see if that does it

then to compound the problem, the boost gauge/ladder tach itself isnt working properly, i the gauge only moves occasionally and the lights continue to blink, what do the three dials at the back of the unit do? everything from the ECM should be right, so i doubt its that

anyone have any suggestions?

the knobs on the back adjust the rpm at which the lights will light up. it is fully adjustable to your driving habits. on my saturn i have the first light at like 2500 for city driving/granny shifting and the next 2 at 6200 and 6400
