Does amping your speakers make them more clear?

I was wondering if amping the speakers will help the clearity of it,
or is it just to boost power.
I'm new to amping speakers and stuff.
I normally just amp the subs like everyone else.
But i want to amp my speakers so just wondering what people think.
btw their aftermarket speakers.

To the best of my knowledge, you just get the best out of them...So it'll make it sound more crisp and better than if you didn't have an amp on them...Don't quote me on it though.

ahh ok. thank you.

I dont want alot of bass coming out of my rear 6x9's because i got subs in the back so i got these Stinger bass reducers, If I amp them is it useless to use those bass reducers or keep them in and amp the speakers still.

Run an amp to all of your speakers, you can adjust your midbass level on your H/U and you can also turn the gain down on the amplifier powering the mids.

Ditch the bass reducers, waste of money.

Yes it does make them a little louder, cripser and clearer! Just if you have smaller speakers (not that the cobalt does) you need to put filters on some of them to keep really deep bass notes from them!

most reputable amps have a built in crossover in them, so you can adjust the cutoff frequency for both the front speakers and the rear 6x9's so you can ditch the bass reducers, thats not the best way to go anyways. an amp will get you a nice clean and clear sound from after market speakers

Changing the HU for a quality one will make wonders in the complete system. I was in awe when I heard Hispano1's stereo. amazing
