Door Speaker Not Working...
So i have had this problem before with my drivers door speaker, it would randomly stop working and then start again, **** went on for a month and i eventually took it to the dealer and got her fixed. they told me they replaced it. well now my left one is doing it and it has finally gone out completely, it might kick back on but its been off for a week or so. i took the door panel off to look at it, and it seems to be wired up fine and everything, but i dont have any other speakers to wire up to it. im wondering if this is a normal problem, or do yall think i should take the driver door speaker off and wire it up to the passenger to see if it works well because all the wiring looks fine to me.
thanks in advance.
thanks in advance.
Factory speakers are cheap so they can go out really easy, I killed mine in about two days. More than likely if you've already pulled the door panel off and looked at the wires and they are fine its the speaker. The voice coil probably got separated. Id say time to upgrade you dont have to do anything crazy but something better than factory.
Mine did the same thing, first the front passenger went out. I cut the wire and soldered them to the speaker. that worked for about 2 hours and then died again. I let that one be dead because I still had my front driver so I was ok. 3 weeks ago my front driver went out also for no reason. I ordered Alpine SPR-17C and installed them and so far they are working great.
