got them for 50 bucks off ebay. supposedly 30,000K, a custom purple color.
well compaired to the factory bulb they look yellow, and when i hold my hand up close to them they have a purple circle in the middle of the beam...

do they need a longer time to heat up the the purple color?
or are they ****?

I'm sorry but those are probably not gonna give you the purple color you want. Did you let them warm up to see if they turned purple?

 

theoretically they should heat up after a few seconds..if brand new maybe a few minutes..i donnt wanna say u got shafted but id hope they turn purple after a little while.. have u just left them on for a bit to see if they change?

haha, guess i should have gone with 3B...i mean they look cool, but i really want purple. can i buy purple H11 bulbs for this kit? or does it have to do with the ballast? i just put in the other side and am letting them heat up for a minute... still yellow. thank god for wireless internet lol

it is now 126and are still yellow. **** ebay. i am going to send them back and leave bad feedback.
i even e-mailed him to make sure they were purple and he said yea.

well i found a place on ebay that sells just bulbs, so can i use that buld with the ballast i already have?

you think the ballast will be cool? i already e-mailed the guy cuz it says money back after 10 days and after that just a new kit...

yea 3B spec has the bulbs for $80
on ebay i can get them for 29 shipped...

you get what you pay for. my 8k h11's look blue/purpleish in the fog light housings. i would say get 12k instead of 30k

 

tell the seller ur problem... tell him that they are yellow and see what he says to do... i got some free bulbs by saying that and they came to me and ended up being i must have gotten like 3k's or something but i ended up recieving some 12k ( just pay for shipping)

your a bitch casey...lol. you werent you suppost to order the 25,000k form that seller, not ever companys blubs are rated the same, the kits still fine there nothing wrong with it, i pmd you, i would just order the new bulbs and use the ballasts you have with this kit and keep the yellow bulbs you have now as a back up, in case you run in to issues with the cops when you have the purple ones in.

 

i know nothing is wrong with the kit, but 25,000k or 30,000k should be somewhat purple not yellow.
im just gonna buy those cheap bulbs from another seller and yes, keep the yellow ones.
just idk if i want the 12k or pure purple

there not cheap, an hid is an hid, no matter who made them there are still certifications that they have to make them too. so in my mind there just as good as name brand ones that some fools pay 200 for....note to every one else i have pretty much the same kit he bought and i have a pair on my 2001 malibu for 2yr no problem, my 05 ss/sc for 4years no problems, and my 09ss/tc almost a yr no problems....dont knock something if you never tired it/them....

some dealers do that on ebay... that why they sock you for 10 more bucks, cause there calling them custom....which there not
