Starting the rear speaker pods. They will house are going to be a custom component set with Hertz hi energy 165L (match the front midbasses) and rockford FNX tweeters (like in the center channel)

Nice. What are you going to finish it in?
I'd say if your going to match the front go all out, however I think it would look sweet if you blended the whole thing into the contour of the panel so it looks like it was always there. In which case flat black or vinyl would be a better choice.

But thats me, and I'm sure you have a vision of what you want it to look like already.

Guess you figured theres not enough room behind the panels, you know with that string of wires that looks like it came out of the space shuttle you got running back there

You know what I find funny?
Your running 165L's in custom fiberglass pods as rear fill.

You know you might be addicted to car stereo when.....

Damn I wish I knew how to do fiberglass, or at least wish it wasn't so damn expensive

probably going to do something that looks more stealth like vinyl or flat or something idk yet. there is but not really. probably doesn't help i have the lux liner but they would barely not fit if the whole thing was behind the panel... i was hoping for that but i'm sure you know it never works like planned

lol that **** is funny i never even thought about that. that's sorta ironic that my rear speakers are going to be better then most peoples fronts.

sadly once this is all done i dont think im going to be doing any 5.1 competitions. as far as usaci goes they are no longer and for regular SQ all this crazy im doing puts me up against the true pros

Nice! That looks clean man.
Can you hear them from the drivers seat much? Or are they intended for passengers to hear?

sorta depends on how i have it set. for regular music i have them pretty low so while you can hear them still its not a big presence. just sorta faint and blends in really well BUT for surround sound i have to have them much louder. idk if they could get as loud as the fronts but they do get pretty close how i have it set. listening to regular music thou on the surround setting isn't nearly as good thou. its makes it sound really weird to have alot coming from the back
