Question A Few Quick Questions

Hey guys, just a few questions:

I'm basically looking to upgrade all of the speakers with something a little cleaner sounding. Here's what I'm looking at now:

Either the Kenwood KFC-16605 or the Kenwood KFC-1379ie speakers.

My main question is how do you all feel about these speakers? I want something cheap but at least obviously better than stock.

My second question is do these just basically pop right in without needing an amplifier? I just have the stock system that comes with the LS now, not the pioneer one.

Thanks in advance!

the first ones will not sound very good... and the second one is a discontinued model... out of those two, DEFINITLY the second...

and yea you can just swap them... though adding an amp or aftermarket cd player will really help alot

Well, that's good to hear, being that the second ones are much cheaper

So even though the second ones are only 5-1/4", they will still fit and not be too small? I'm not gonna have to cut my door panels am I?
