its 4.5 cubes tuned to 32 hz
when you say its a bad port do you mean when i dont have it finished yet. I just threw the port piece in there to see how it would look. I have it cut down so it is 3.25 inches all round and rounded the mdf around the beginning of the port. Also i put in a piece also in the corner to help airflow.

just did this in paint real quick. a port's purpose in life is to channel the air that is moved from the drivers moving backwards, around the box, and out the front of the box as the drivers are now moving forward. thats why ported boxes are always louder. because its like adding a whole new driver to your setup. but it also sacrifices sound quality because the box is now open in design, which eliminates that tightness in sound that you get from a sealed box. also, when someone says "tuned" port. it means that the frequency from the port is at a certain level based on the width, height, and length if retangular. or by the diameter and length if round. i did this in paint to give you an idea for your next box. keep in mind this can be done with a single driver or two drivers. its up to you. but this is the design i would follow for your next one. and search around online, there's calculators to help design a port for your box given your drivers, box dimensions, etc.
