It Fits!

Well i'm in the process of redoing my system. Me and my buddy just got done the box and we didnt make the greatest measurements lol. The box turned out about 17 inches tall.. Well rather than make a new one we got out the grinder and started cutting ha ha, It now fits... Heres a few pictures of the test fit of how tight it is. the Box is about 4.01 cubes, tuned to about 33.5 hz and the port is about 19 inches.. The box should be painted and the trunk should be sealed here before the end of april.

heres some of the goodies

Nice. You guys did a decent job on that box. Thats a monster port.
Wants some advice? Well your going to get it anyway.

1)Brace that box. You run 1000 watts into any sub never mind a 15, and its going to have an effect on the box.

2) I don`t know if your future plans call for an amp rack, however you should not rest your amp on that grey insulation. Now it might just be resting there due to the install, but if your plans are to leave the amp in that location, put a piece of wood under it. It will help with cooling the amp down.

That being said I think if you put your amps in that space over top of the battery and then flush mounted them it would look pretty sick

Added- I can't tell is that sub going to sit flush, is the inside of the hole for the sub a bit smaller than the outside?

We were gonna brace it but my buddy said we shouldnt have a problem the wood is thick enough, and yeah we are making an amp rack just gotta get some more mdf. And we didnt flush mount but he said something about we have to keep taking the sub in and out and all this so it would just be a pain but Im gonna try to do it. BTL is my new rebuild . Gonna get a new alt, another t1000, and another hc1400.. Gonna work on my front stage first.. and thats the Knu Konceptz Fleks Cable good for 300a
