Got the Adapters

So the adapters are here, but haven't got the speakers or the time to install them.
Just to let you know, they have a back plate that is the teardrop shape and then a 6.5in ring, separated by about 1/2" spacers.

I'll post pics when I get the camera out. I'm guessing like one of the posts said, they may stick out too far. Also, the bottom part of the teardrop shape is flat, and has two holes; So I have to inspect as to whether there will be a decent place to screw these in or if I'll have to modify them and add the little clips that come on the original speakers.

We'll see!

I'm really interested how much modification has to be done to the adapter cuz I'm not to thrilled to be cutting up the factory speaker.

Don't have anything to cut them with. Only a jigsaw. Not ninja enough with it to make the cuts with that. What should I be using and where can it be had? Any how-to on that? lol

lol send me ur adapters and ill make one. You just have to cut the basket out with something (wire cutters are what we normally use) and rip the rest out. 4 self tapers to hold the new speaker in and ur done.
