Since all of the 07 cobalt owners need this and nobody seems to know much about it, im gunna tell about my experience so far.
I just got mine in the mail yesterday. First impression of it, piece of crap, it had fallen apart during shipping due to the poor construction quality.

Wired it all up, and my second impression, even bigger piece of crap, it dosent even keep all the chimes only the one for when the door is open,NO TURN SIGNAL chimes are kept, maybe other warnings like low fuel i havent gotten that yet so i dont know.

The volume of the chime is adjustable... hardly. The little screw to adjust the volume is hard to use. The volume is either too loud or too quiet, i diddnt feel like messing with a piece of crap so i turmed it way down.


BOTTOM LINE if you know the part number for the non "computer chip" harness, get that one. This thing was not worth the $115 i spent. Save your money and get the cheap one, the chimes hardly work on this one anyway.

Dude, iv been waiting for someone to review this harness.... I got myself a 2007 Cobalt LT and i lost all my chimes too... At first it kinda bugged me, but now its like whatever.... I really dont miss my chimes that much... it would be nice to have them but its cool.

Sorry about the construction quality of the item, it sounds cheap as hell. Lol. Dam, theres no hope for our 07 balts.

 

I got mine (GMOS-LAN-04, I have the pioneer system) and it worked perfectly, all I had to do was mess round the volume a bit. There are two shunt jumpers to the right of the potentiometer, did you try playing with those?
Secondly, is yours a true Metra? I know a company called Axxess makes a shitty one and they try to make it look like Metra's.

hmmm... on the box it says metra and axxess. i guess they made a cheap version of their own thing. so far i dont miss my chimes either but it just sucks that i had to pay so much to still not have any chimes.
