I honestly dont think it would be different but after working with metra i know they dont tend to make 2 different harnesses unless theres a reason to do so. You can always try it and see what happens. Im 99.9% sure the only difference in the 2 harnesses is one is made to turn on and work with the stock amp where the other one isnt. You may get lucky and it could work. Did you buy it to keep chimes and onstar or what?

i bought it because everything on this site that ive read about the 07's says i needed it for more reasons than just chimes... only loosing the anoying chimes would be a blessing. i dont need a ding to tell me my door is open, or a click to tell me i put my signal on. heh.

the thing is i ordered it from a local audio sotre, the reciept says i ordered the 03. i dont get it untill tuesday so i cant see if it works. im crossing my fingers and hoping i can call them monday and they can switch it for the 04. if they cant im hoping im not screw'd. im driving to florida on wednesday and wanted to watch movies. 24 hour drive alone gets pretty boring.

thanks alot for the input

i just installed the pioneer deh-9800bt in my 06 ss/sc with pioneer. i used the cheap metra 70-2103 harness and it works flawlessly. the only trouble i had was with the amp turn-on in the vehicle side of the harness and remote wire from the head unit itself. there are two connectors for the stock radio and there are like 4 different pink wires; so you have to know which one you are looking for. over all, i am very happy with the cheap harness, the only wire i had to splice into on the vehicle harness side was the amp turn-on wire. the harness that comes with the head unit and the metra harness go together really easy and quick with either butt connectors or crimp caps. the butt connectors are easier though and make the harness able to lay flat and tuck in the dash easier without much trouble.
