I agree.
Personally I like my red top, but when it comes to racing I always thought people would opt for lightweight batteries (Genesis, Odyssey, Braille, ect.). Soon as you get your car started for a race, the battery is practically useless.

There is absolutly nothing wrong with optima, but its not the greatest thing on the planet. In my race car I just used a motorcycle battery from car quest, it was small light and started the car, thats all I needed. My buddy who has a crazy system has two stinger 1200 CCA batterys, much nicer than an optima, but alot more too.

damn right im running a carquest battery right now as well... that is ever since i found out carquest batteries are made by decka and they are exactly the same as the decka batteries. (so i have basiclly a slightly better yellow top for 50 bucks less)
