I just bought a SS/SC that already had a shorty antenna installed on it, and the radio reception is CRAP. I'm wondering if anyone has had any good luck with various shorty antennas, and if so, what brand? How good is the radio reception with it? Mine cuts in and out really badly, it's very annoying.

I just ordered the MPX (modern performance) shorty today. I cant wait to get it and try it. Be carefull if the stock one is on too tight. I tried taking mine off today and I broke the whole bracket inside the car and now it moves around and is really lose. I was super pissed but it shouldnt be as bad with the shorty on.

Don't have the factory one, the car came with the shorty (unknown brand) already installed.

Yea I was kinda disappointed in the horrible reception that I do get. I live in the metro St Louis area, there's radio towers all over the place so it's not like I'm in the sticks. All my other vehicles get crystal clear reception.
