It would sound good. The Punch P1s were the low end of the Rockford sub series, but they are still not bad. Just don't try to bridge the Amp, otherwise you will blow those subs.

Also, those subs do TERRIBLE in a ported box. Stick with a sealed box, a small sealed box for best results with it.

Good luck.

Yea, as far as the amp goes, you might want to even keep it down pretty low. If I remember right, those subs are only good to around 250-350 watts. So, a 1600 W amp will destroy those subs pretty easily.

And, a rockford box should be good them, if they sound like complete garbage, which they probably won't seeing as it is an already used system, and if it sounded that bad already, it would have been fixed... just build yourself a box, but... rockford probably knows how to make box, so... I would stick with that like you planned on. Lol

lol yeah my brother got serval noise complaints while running it in his old car.
there is also 2x alpine sps-690A 250w 6x9's in the set im just not sure if i should put them in or not.

also it has a bass remote but it wasnt used.. im wondering if thats to reduce the risk of blowing the subs .because i was wanting to use it

yes i am aware of that im just afraid if i turn it up it will **** the subs seeing as the amp is rather oversized for them.

lol you would think so but not really... the prefab it tuned way to high & doesnt sound as clean as they should. but not anything too "bad" P1s are rated at 150w rms a piece and the amp is rated at 600w rms but probably does closer to 800w rms

oh the type s 6X9s are a double edged sword imo. I hated how they sound but they are better then stock, replacing the 6X9s are a bitch thou so

lol double edged sword whats wrong with them? and yeah i think they would be an improvement on the stock 6X9's . why are they such a bitch to swap out? do u have to take the fabric off the rear deck or something to do so?

just getting the rear deck off tends to be a lil difficult for most people so if you not very mechanical i guess id say it might be a task to replace them and it woulds sorta suck it if took you a long time to replace them only for you not to be happy with the sound. but whether or not you will be i don't know. like i said i personally didn't like the sound of the type S but that's me not you

personally i would swap them because they would be better then stock and swapping the speakers isn't that big of a deal for me so i could always easily upgrade later

It's an LT coupe.
Did the LT's even have the pioneer upgrade as an option?

If you did not have the Pioneer package than running those speakers off the stock power doesn't really seem worth it.
Since the speakers are in the back and your allready running power wire and whatnot you could just pick up a small amp to run them, hooking the back speakers up to an amp is really easy to do, the fronts on the other hand... Something 2 or 4 channel around 200 watts @ 4ohms should run those 6x9's nice.

As for sound quality I can't say I have ever herd a set but I don't really like the sound 6x9's give and am not a fan of Alpine friont end equipment, but since there free and the y are better than stock I say go for it

well pioneer package is 2 ohm so if u swapped them with 4 ohm type s's you wouldnt be satisfied at all. i can almost guarantee it

doing a swap with the normal 4 ohm speakers is fine thou. amping them will help but its easy to amp the rears later if that's the issue at hand. and no you cant use the same amp as the subs
