Got a odd sound coming from the speakers

So when i have the music turned down i can hear this ticking sound coming from the speakers its only the aftermarket ones. So i decide to rip up the carpet thought it was the rca's moved them around no luck same with the remote. Im really stumped at this point....

I have the same problem, but I dont have aftermarket speakers. just an aftermarket h/u. I have a feeling its a wire in the back of the h/u.

Do you have a cell phone in the car?My cell will cause a noise sometimes even when its just sitting in the little compartment left of the steering wheel.

thats a ground loop. theres an off balance somewhere. Ground your deck to the same place as the amp and see if that helps. Also on the side that your running rcas make it only rca no remote or deck ground

If you just changed the speakers and left the amp and HU alone then there shouldnt be anything like that. If so its probably amp or speakers

This is exactly my problem but it only comes from the right side. Its a scratching noise and alternator whine all mixed together but it is possible to get one without the other.

I think its the factory amp but I don't want to replace it with another stock one. I had an amp stolen a few months back so I don't want to go aftermarket again unless I can truly install it in a "unique" ie hard to get to spot.

if you had an amp in the past was it for a sub or the door speakers?

both actually. I had a pioneer 4ch for the speakers and a kenwood 2ch for the subs but it was stolen before I could build the box. So everything is hooked up to the factory amp which I'm sure it can't handle well. [ohm loads] but the noise only comes after a bump or the doors are closed hard.

I used the existing factory wiring but my speakers are 4-ohms now instead of the 2 the stock ones were. I'm pretty sure I'm going to get another 4-channel and something to drive a sub this summer but this is an annoying and problem to have especially when everytime I signal or listen to music its there.
