Great subs

Does anyone know what subs would be great to be pushed by a Hifonics superclass D 2000watt amp, I have it narrowed down to JL,MA,memphis, rockford, kicker L7, I don't know if I should add audiopipe or audiobahn to the list. But I want a good quality sound in bass. thanks

is it the 2000watt at 1ohm one? I myself would go with 2 alpine type x 12s they would be rite at home on that amp. Under that would be memphis, and last on the list would be JL

I think you should look into an MTX Thunder 9500. I've seen videos of it outlasting all of the woofers you just mentioned. I hit 141 on the meter with one 10".

I have heard some good things and some bad things about those pioneer subs. I have heard from some people that they don't hold the rated power and they over heat easily...then others say they can put 200W over RMS to them and they hold up just fine. I have heard they are boomy and sloppy while other say they are tight and quick....Then alot of people just bash them because they are pioneer and pioneer isn't known for making mid to high level equipment. You have to find your own opinion on them I would probably venture a guess saying that both ends are over exhadurated and truth lies some where in the middle ground.

As for all the other subs you have said.
JL,MA,memphis, rockford, kicker L7, I don't know if I should add audiopipe or audiobahn to the list.
I wouldn't bother with the audiobahm, audiopipe, MA or the L7 for clarity. Audiopipe's eyecandy and the L7 are great for SPL but not top knotch on what i precive as sound quality. Memphis makes a midlevel that alright for sq and as other have said rockford 't' series are great all around, but any lower end entry for rockford have really become shotty over the last few years. The JL w3's fairly clear and have a nice power handling for what they are, and the w7's are also very clear but in my opinion over priced. I would buy an alpine R-type or X-type over the w7's any day. Price vs performance they are better buys IMHO.

But as I tell every one else it is all in what your ears like. No one else can be a good judge on what you think sounds good or clear. There are some speakers that you can just say are sloppy sounding but when you get into the mid/high to very high entry SQ products you really have to make your own decisions.

lol, that was a good one. I'm going to test the 2 12" L7's, alpine, and the premiers, to see what sounds good to my ears, but at the sametime I don't really want to spend that much money on subs right now since I have a 11mo old daughter and it's christmas time. Thanks for the support guys.

Also I'm getting a 7" jensen touchscreen in dash monitor installed and I was wondering if anyone knew another way to ground it, instead of using the ebrake ground?

just use any ground with a switch..you turn the power on , on the unit then turn on the ground wire or somthing along those lines
