Question a guide for no the harness?!?

Can someone please explain to me how to hard wire and aftermarket sterreo without using the wire harness everyone says you need... i have an 05 cobalt ls

someone please take the time to help me out

by wire harness i hope you don't meant the metra GMxxx one cuz that is a must have to keep things working correctly all around.

yea i do mean that... i have read and heard about a bunch of people not using them and wiring it themselves but i haven't come across how to do it, exactly

hm...never heard of that. i just found the harness for cheap off of ebay and got it that way.

You can hook up power and speaker wires. You will loose all of your chimes if you do not use the harness.

i'm not sure on what the power wire is on our cars but you'll have to run all new wires to both doors, the rear and the sub wires along with the remote wire to the amp.

well i guess if you're running a 4 channel amp with the speakers it wont be that difficult to set up. just have to worry about the remote turn on for the amp(s), power, ground, etc. major wires basically.

dont hardwire the car. hardwire= cut the harness and connect directly. thats just stupid
