Ok, I had some buddies in the car yesterday. All seemed fine, but today, I noticed my driver's side door speaker is crackling. My LS model is non-pioneer system, I was wondering if the warranty covers speakers.

If not, I want to if this is the price for two speakers:

My speakers started crackling already too, both front ones espeically when I have talk shows on where a man is talking, lots of distortion and they won't cover it, they said I must have been cranking them too loud :/

BTW: Im also going to get a Modulator to hook up to my OEM headunit so I can get better quality with my ipod.

 

the warranty does cover STOCK sound system only... so yea bring it in, get it fixed, then change out everything...

I found this auction on ebay, its the speakers I want they are brand new. But, at Rockford's website the MSRP is $119.00. And best buy has the same speakers for $134.00. What should I do? Suggestions welcomed

 

those are NOT the ones best buy has for $134... the ones bb has, are the Power 6.5", those are the Punch series...

also, just because it says not factory refurbished, dont mean much...
go to best buy, buy them there, buy the service plan too... 4yrs for like $20 or so covers you even if you blow them
