Help Please... :(

I bought a set of Kicker speakers for both the front and rear ends of the car. Anyways, they both cost about $100 per pair. I was excited because I thought I was going to have way better sound and bass compared to the stock speakers. Anyways, they ARE better...but the overall sound...not so good. I was just wondering, is it because I need a subwoofer to make it better or do I just need better speakers? Trying to keep the cost low but if I need a sub then I will do it. Thanks.

id say the speakers too. I never seen a good pair of kicker speakers. Some subs were ok, but not speakers. /my opinion

ah, gotcha..so Kicker speakers = no good. I have a pioneer premier head unit as well. Is that a good one? or no? Anyways, any suggestions for name brands of speakers that I can buy that are not super expensive??

if you have the pioneer premuim system why would you want to upgrade it? they sound great. kicker sucks. get clarion or infinity. you get what you pay for is a well used term but it is DIRECT when dealing with electronics.

Your saying you have a Premier (sub company of Pioneer) head unit, not the upgraded factory pioneer system, right?

If you have the upgraded factory sytem then look for 2 ohm speakers, Infinity make the Reference line which are not to pricey, but remember you get what you pay for.

If you have a aftermarket HU then stick to 4 ohm's, in this case there are countless makes and models to choose from, it just depends on what your looking for out of them, and more important how much you want to spend
IMO anything less than $200 is a waste of time and money,
