HID high beam low beam problem

Im sure this is a simple fix, but I ordered my HIDS off of a group buy from the forum (buyhids.com or something like that) anyway, I went ahead and ordered the relay harness which is where i think the problems are stemming from (and my lack of knowledge). Anyway, I installed them and it was fairly easy, no problems, however, I can only get my low beams to work, which I guess will work, but it could be a lot better driving late at night and having high beams. When i switch to the high beams, I get nothing, the lights shut off.

I noticed that when using the relay harness there are some blue fittings that are not connected to anything as well as some other ones. Im sure this is an easy fix for someone who knows what theyre doing, but as for me, I do not know. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, I run stock housings and everything like that if it helps.

This whole thing confuses me because a buddy of mine bought a shitty set of ebay and has a cobalt ss/na, he ordered no relay harness and he has high's and low's.

Also, I have a 2007 cobalt ss/sc g85

Thanks a lot

Josh

I have found the main connector to the car lamp harness is often wired incorrectly. Look and see if you have the orange wire out of the car harness connector (male) lined up with a black wire on the HID lamp harness. That may not be correct.

the output connector should be pink for high beam left side ( as you look at it clip up)
the right side is dark blue, low beam signal, and center is orange battery positive voltage.
OOPSA thats for a redline.

for a TC the blue connector for the headlamp harness, should be center black is ground, orange is left low beam and pink is left high beam for rhe left side blue connector. hope this helps more

I did not buy bixenon. my previous bulbs were single bulbs that moved up and down and obviously had a high and low beam.

oh, very interesting, I didn't know that. Those were my stock bulbs. I guess that could be why I no longer have high beams?

that would make sense but really id check to see what you bought and sorta go from there. liek powell said it could be pinned wrong or a wirign issue in general (which is common) but theres also that good chance its a low only kit

I think he means it switches filaments within the halogen bulb IMO.

I'm just saying most HID suppliers will call bixenon bulbs any hids that either move up or down to create a high/low, a double hid or the hid w halogen.

I mean its still worth investigating the connections and fuses if you have free time and dont pay anything into it but it really sounds like he has a low only kit so at the same time that also sounds like a waste of time
