Hook underglow to alarm

I have a CompuStar 2WSHRa alarm and the installer told me that I could hook my underglow kit (StreetGlow Optx Multicolor LED) to the alarm if i wanted so that I could turn it on and off with the remote but wanted $20 to do it. I was wondering if anyone knows where i have to run the alarm wire from the control unit for the underglow to on the alarm module.

Not sure but why not just pay the $20 to have it done?

I rather save the $20 and do it myself. Also the place that I had the alarm installed did a poor job at running the wires so I had to reroute several of them myself. I rather not deal with them anymore if I don't have to

I have an idea... kinda lame but it would work. Hook up the underglow to the horn through a negative relay attached to the ignition or BCM fuse. So if your horn is going and the key is out, your glow comes on, but if you honk with the key in it wouldn't do anything. Even better would be to find something that is constantly on once the alarm is activated, because I'm assuming the horn goes on and off. Maybe the dome/map light?

that would be cool to be able to have it flash with everything else when the alarm is going off as well as maybe the lights when you arm and disarm it lol but my aftermarket alarm has another open aux on it so that i could turn the kit on remotely from the fob so thats what im looking into right now. I found the wiring diagram for the alarm so its just a matter of hooking it to the aux wire and see if it works

I remember on the Oznium forum a guy hooked up his blue underglow to the dome light on his 8th Civic coupe, and that's all he used it for. It faded in as you pressed unlock on the fob and vice versa as he left. Very nifty.
