Go get a wiring diagram for your car and tap wires and put inline fuses.

go to autozonem, get the mini fuse adders. Basicly you take a fuse you, plug this in there and then plug both uses to it and then connect the wire off of it to your wire.

Yea but you normally wanna run it from the IGN fuse which is I think 30 amps and the one's you can buy are only rated for 15-20 amps????

correct, and so you have to run it from an existing fuse? and pull power that way? you cant create a whole new one? and get fresh unused power

not all fuses or slots have the 12v turn on your looking for. Not everything in the car is 12v and not everything is activated the same way as acc (some are constant some only turn on certain times ect)

You need to get a multi meter and test or use the ones we already know work

Best thing to do is go out and buy a build book for the car.

Yea that too, and don't shove the test leads into the slots, you will spread the slots open and ruin the connectors.

exactly. this is what i did for my dash neons. you can put 2 fuses for each, keep the fuse that was there, and then i threw on a 5A for the neons, theres 2 slots.

Yes please please read the directions, they have internal fuses but read voltage on Ohms you can still blow on up. And if you check the empty slots get a small piece of wire and stick in there to check it.

u dont want to use ohms. Volts DC or VDC. ground one prong (try a non painted piece of metal, igntion key, or the easiest and most reliable.... outside of the cig plug) second prong needs to touch the metal part of the fuse or just slightly touch the metal if your testing one without a fuse. dont shove it in like viper said
