Question HVAC help

Hey guys after 22 pages I gave up looking for a thread that might help me with my issue. My wife's G5 A/C didn't cool when we first got the G5. I added the r134 and it still didn't cool just kept throwing hot air. I switched the HVAC controls from my SS and it actually cooled. Took the g5 out for a spin to increase the coolant temp, after driving for a while and getting the temp up to 200 it still threw cold air, but when I turned off the a/c and switched to heater then back to a/c it just kept throwing hot air. I switched the controls back and forth but it kept throwing hot air. I didn't how ever test the g5 controls on my SS (due to helping the wife put the kids to bed). any ideas?

Well to start off if you had to add refrigerant that means you have a leak somewhere and if it didnt need it well you just added more than the system needs. If its just keep giving you hot air it could be that the mode doors or the blends doors are working properly . Also dont forget to check you cabin air filter

I've seen the temperature door actuator fail, it's accessible under the center console from the drivers side footwell, remove it and make sure the teeth where it engages are not damaged, if they look good, replace the actuator.
