yes sanding definitely blows. it's a very good idea to invest in a nice sanding block. also, for the contoured shapes i find wrapping sand paper around a water bottle etc. works great. and def use the black primer tip it works awesome.

I so need to make me one of these. You should make a parts list of what is needed and how much you paid for it. I am interested in knowing how much this setup costs because it looks very nice.

not to be a dick or anything man but if this is ur first attempt at cf i wouldn't even attempt it. the curves on ur particular box will be a night mare and i dont know if the cf would lay right. besides that you need to practice wrapping on something that you could throw out if it comes out shitty. im gonna do a how to on carbon fiber very soon so just give me a little to finish the box and i'll put up the how to for everyone.
well the night pic was so shitty i just had to add another coat and take more pics for you guys. she's just about done. i think one more coat bc i want this thing to have serious depth and im gonna be sanding her smooth and clearing it out.

i might do one more layer of epoxy then im gonna sand it done smooth and possible clear coat. then i have to make sure all the edges are brought down, i need to add terminals, carpet the bottom and back of the box. and add some expanding foam to take the volume down. the bottom and back of the box are both 3/4" mdf.

lol the cf is only added where it's gonna be visible ie. the top and the front.
lol get that body kit painted first. ps. i would have ur car photoshopped with the cf roof first bc it might look a little weird but i dunno.

lil update. i was going to completely finish the cf portion of the box tonight but i forgot I have to fix my air compressor. it's got a leak int he bottom due to the dump valve my grandfather putting on years back snapping off. i need it mostly for the angle grinder and the die grinder to sand the edges flat. i hand sand the rest of it. so i put the sanding on hold until it's fully fixed. today i trimmed most of the excess cf from around the box and flush cut the sub rings out. took a few more pics to get a good look at the box. oh man. there just some spots on the box that need to be smoothed out and then i'll completely finish the rest. i would say this hopefully will be all said and done by the weekend. i really wish before friday night but we'll see. here' some more pics.
