IPOD carkit for 2005 ss?

Im in the market for an Ipod and i wanted to hardwire it into my stock deck on the 2005 cobalt ss, but i cant find a wiring kit for my year or the cobalt in general...does it exist?

fm transmitters kinda blow, and no cassette adaptor obviously, and i want to retain the stock deck/steering wheel controls.

there is nothing...change the headunit. then lets say u get a pioneer h/u. they make a steering wheel adpater that u would tap the wires off the steerin wheel to that and it would work. thats honestly the only way man. or get that 100 monster cable fm transmitter.

the monster one with the 1/8" and 8 channels isnt that great. The only one that has worked great is the monster one that has the digital tuner and the ipod plug for charging...... everything else goes right to static when you get in anything like a larger city or close to one. This is just my personal experience from being a RadioShack manager for a few years...

Does the 2005 Cobalt SS/SC not have the Aux input to the head unit?

Just a thought... not too sure if it does cuz I'm kinda new to the Cobalt thing

There is also a company called Pac-Audio that supplies a kit for the new GMLan system that allows you to control your iPod with your Steering wheel controls and the factory head unit controls.

The link is below and the part I think we would be looking at would be IPAC-GM3

http://www.pac-audio.com/products/pr...ation#ipac-gm3

Has anyone heard of this before, or better yet have a place that would show how much this kit costs? For me, this looks like the way to go since the input to your system is all digital which would be an even better quality sound than what you would get from using the AUX input (if you have a late 06 or 07 model)
