Jensen VM9311

Hey, I was looking at some labor day sales ads and saw that circuit city is offering a Jensen VM9311 In-Dash DVD/CD/AM/FM/XM/MP3 for $450 installed. I have been looking around and havnt found much as to how this unit is as if it is worth it or not. Only thing i could find is that it ties into the ebrake sensor and the display will not work when the car is moving unless you bypass this. So, I just wanted everyones opinions on this and see if anyone has this unit and if anyone knows how to bypass the ebrake issue if i decide to get this. Thanks

EDIT:

I found a wiring diagram and i zoomed in on the parking brake switch setup that they have for diabling the monitor if the brake is not on and to me this diagram looks like its saying there is a pink wire that all I have to do is ground out to bypass. Here it is below for everyone to take a look at

I think its funny the guy who works at Circuit City recommends the store warranty Gotta pay the bills right.

No hard feelings, I'm just joking. I would get the extra warranty too.

Ok i have another question for everyone. I was looking at crutchfields website and i was looking into the installation of this deck. I found out that when you install an aftermarket radio you loose the information center. I dont know if that means the thing you hit to find song info or if that is the thing that tells you the oil life, water temp, etc. If someone can clear that up that would be great. They did say that there is an adapter that you can use to regain this feature, where would I get this at if I wish to keep the feature. FYI if its the song info i dont care but if its everything else then thats gonna suck and I want to be able to keep that

NO, you DON'T lose the information center! I don't know why that stupid thing says that. No wait, I do know. Because the cobalt uses the same dash kit as the malibu, and the malibu has the information center built right in to the radio (so if you replace the radio and use the regular dash kit, you will lose the information center). They probably have it referenced off part number in the database, ie when the dash kit is p/n xxxx, display message "will lose information center" which is true for the malibus, but not for the cobalts.

In short, since the information center on the cobalt is in the gauge cluster, you won't lose it by changing the radio.
