Exclamation Jl w7

ok here is the deal. I got an awesome deal on a 10 inch JL W7. I am building a box that will fit in my trunk with the recommended specs for the Sub and a JL500 Amp. The question is how difficult would it be to connect this to the stock head unit or would I have to get a new head unit? Sorry, kind of new to electrical work in cars. And if I can connect it to the stock head unit what would I need? I just want to keep it stock if possible.

you need a line out converter. u can get them at just about any electronics shop (radio-shack, best buy). just splice it into the wires for the stock sub if you have one or one of the rear speakers if you dont and you're good to go. its very simple.

haha it's awesome and I love it. I got both the sub and amp for $250!!! A friend of mine needed the cash. He had them in his Audi. The box is too big for my trunk, that's why I'm building a box lol

And thanks for that, I appreciate it.

There is an exact picture of the box. I'm not 100% sure on it's measurements but I can check this evening.

The top part of the back seat? The last time I checked on my back seats on how to take them out, they are bolted on both sides and in the middle. Pain in the ass to remove. Unless there is an easier way that your talking about? Feel free to let me know

just pull out the bottom seat cushion for the back seat. that should give the seat backs enough room to fold down almost flat. i had 2 mtx 12" 5500 series in a ported box in my trunk. it was tight but they fit
