A great amp would be an USAmps AX2000, it would be 1000w a sub with a really low distortion ratio. Coincidentally, I'm selling two of them (look in sig).

Kickers are sloppy. Of course, since I rather quality over quantity, I wouldn't get ether.

^^ Ditto that. Both of those are only good for making noise, they are not responsive and imo will just make the music sound like poopoo. However if you want lots of bass for cheap and don't really care about quality, those subs will do the trick. Just pump them full of power (and buy one of my amps).

Kicker L7 will be louder JL will be cleaner... choose your evil. Oh ya thats assuming you have a good box. Either sub can fall flat on its face without a good box.

W7's are some of the best sounding subs ever made, so I don't know where you're getting your info. http://mobile.jlaudio.com/products_s....php?page_id=9

Damn, a bunch of other nut hugging fan boys.

I hope you guys do know that JL is no where near the best quality sounding subs out there. Go get some real SQ subs. Might not be as loud, but they sound a whole lot cleaner and clearer.

I like SQ, so my recommendations would be a completely different ball of wax. Judging by your first post, you like the woofers because of their "retar[d]ed bass", its obvious you are looking for a really loud boomy sub. The ones that you listed are good for that, being loud and making some serious noise. I am not saying they are bad subs and haven't said that. But as for really loud SPL speakers, I would go with a DD 9912 if you had a couple grand for the sub. Lower budget, DD9512 or DD3512, maybe a Fi, Re XXX, etc, and as you said, a JLW7.

kicker ftw

http://realmofexcursion.com/videos/Kicker/l7.8.wmv

My old set up... i think video does justice... two 15 l7 2 ohm, ran off of 2 1200.1 Kick mono block amps.. and some other tricks... had great sound quality..

^ thats was in the back seat of a 91 cavalier.

Oh, and some lesser known but very high quality SQ choices...

Speaker makers

Seas

Peerless Audio

Tymphany - Scanspeak

Usher Audio

Speaker & Amp makers

Zapco

Diamond Audio

Arc Audio

Just Because Section

Orion Car Audio - Old school, but DAMN! You might want to check them out if you want real bass. Screw Kicker and JL.

If you really want to blow your car up with bass, buy two of these and power them with two of these.

Kenwood eXcelon - I just always liked this series, especially their newest stuff. Thats just me though. EmperorJJ would always mess with me about it.
