Just replaced my back speakers and bad news

When I first wired my system up I hooked the turn on wire for the amp with the switched power wire for the deck and I got some small pops when I turned it on. What was happening was the deck and the amp turned on at the same time, but the deck took a couple seconds longer then the amp to turn on and when it actually booted up and cleared the RCA voltage, it made the speakers pop since the amp's soft turn on circuit had already done its thing. Hooking the turn on wire to the remote terminal on the head unit fixed the problem since the head unit didn't turn the amp on until it was "ready."
The RMS on my speakers are 2-50 so I really dont think this is an issue, the 250 watts is peak, Im not that stupid. Plus the sensitivty on the speakers is high which is good for stock decks.
lol thats typical... anyway i thought i would put my 2 cents in here. In terms of problems im not 100% sure what it is but i remember someone saying to check to see if its wired to 4 ohm BUT the factory amp runns at 2 ohm. Now i didnt click the link of the speaker but im pretty sure if you just did pos to pos and neg to neg you got a 4 ohm load so your only getting half of the amps rated power. to be honest i would return it just bc of the fact you said the speaker was fine for a few minutes
now to all the clipping people. Think about it this way. your rms value of an amp is really its max rms.... meaning if your amp is rated at 100w rms its not 100w of power with the volume at 1 vs 35 or whatever. so underpowering a speaker will not blow it because anyone that doesnt have the volume at or close to max is underpowering their speakers. problem is distortion. people get 100w speakers with a 25w amp and try to play them like they had a 100w amp. turning that 25w amp that high will make the amp clip and will eventually destroy a speaker

i say, get an ohm meter and check them at the terminals... make sure you're getting 4ohms on each... one might be blown

So yeah, i never got the noise back so w/e im going to leave them, ive been pushing pretty hard alot lately, trying to get them to make the noise but its a no go, soo thumbs up for me. Anyways time to order my infinitys now for my front =)
the stock speakers are 2oHm. I imagine the alpines he has are 4oHm. does that affect anything?
I have Boston Rally's which is a component 6" (separate tweeter) and I bought 6x9 to 6" round plates that convert the cut out to hold the 6". Components generally will always sound way better that is why I went to this effort (also the 6" rally's come from my last car). So the question is can I hook up these 4oHm speakers in place of the 2oHm speakers?

Ehh the noise came back its like ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ sound and rattle, i think its woofer, because the highs sound great on them, so its gotta be the woofer, so I guess I will have to replace that speaker. Dammet. Will Alpine honor a warranty if I bought the speakers from Ebay?

Well I want a balanced system. I would like to do it all but want cash to go to performance right now. I have the components already. just want to put them in. if that is worth while.

Am i going to get **** if they have sodder on the connection points? I can just say i installed them and found them to be faulty?
yes. just tell them they were faulty. most likely you'll get some steve erkle look alike who doesn't know what they are supposed to look like anyway. make sure they are the same exact model and everything or it won't work.

lol thats sorta fucked up... didnt you have a rma from your seller on ebay?
to the comp guy 4ohm is fine but it will only see half the power from the stock amp as the 2 ohm... so ya get a new amp... and look at 4ohm specs to match to your speakers

Then how would i know there bad? Cosmeticly they look good, so you would never know one is bad. And no the ebay seller has yet to give me an RMA. They cant prove I installed them wrong
yea that used to happen alot at our bestbuy. but then we stopped returning ****...
this more sounds like an install related issue... though i could be wrong... but why not pay the $45 for bestbuy to install them when you go in?
its almost like an insurance, if they break a panel, they pay for it. where as if you break it, you have to look at a broke panel.
