help me decide which headunit i should get...

JVC.

Pioneer

I'm leaning towards the jvc...cuz it comes with remote and has a detachable face.... the pioneer i REALLY like but its like 30-40 dollars more, has no remote, and doesnt detach. it also has a smaller screen. Wut ive been seeing is that the jvc has 1 set of preamp outputs and only a few people have complained.. I'm no sound guru but i do have a nice small kicker setup and ill eventually be upgrading my front speakers to momo components and the rears to polk 6x9s... If the consensus is that the JVC can handle that ill get it cuz i like the added security of the detachable face.. and ease of a remote..

i was thinking about going pioneer my self but i wanted to keep an all pioneer system i dont really know why but thats just me i like all my stuff to match. Personally i wouldnt want the remote since my car is manual my hand is usually close to the radio anyways and i dont really use the controls much on the steering wheel. But its all personal preference so i say get which one you like best even if it is the one thats a lil more expensive cuz you will like it more in the end.

I'm pretty sure its the 810 that has the detachable face not the 710.
I have the 800 and there is no detachable face, but I'll be honest the Pioneers look alot nicer in the dash, the JVC's kinda stick out a bit where as the pioneers fit a little more flush

This was the only one I could find of it for the moment, keep in mind I was trying to get a shot of the wheel not the HU.
You see how it sticks out a bit

Pioneer!

I got my avh-p4000 installed almost two weeks ago and love it. This stereo seriously makes the stock speakers sound like I bought some really expensive ones. I love the way the bass sounds.

Here's a picture:

No where on the link provided does it say it has a detachable face
I think you just read so many many specs they all just rolled into one, its happened to me many a time.

I can flush mount it?
Even though the bottom piece has to swing out just for the CD/DVD drive to be open.
Is it easy or would it be like tring to make me an installer in a couple posts

nah you just have to drill new holes in the iso mount. or really just sand em bigger with a dremel. Since it has the movable face you cant move it that far back but you should be able to bump it back a bit. If you really wanted it 100% flush then just sand the bottom of the kit opening a bit ans you should be able to do so as well. Its not really hard to modify kits really but most people dont care
