KCE-236B pins pushing in...
KCE-236B pins pushing in...
I recently bought a Alpine 9884 and wanted to hook it up to my mp3 player. So I bought the ipod connector thing that only had the headphone jack..the KCE-236B. However, when I went to plug it in..the pins inside the pushed down into the plastic. So I bought another one...same thing happen. When I plug it in, the pins are getting pushed back..
I checked inside the female end...nothing blocking it or broken inside. And its not like it just pushes in. For example, the left side pushed all the way down while the right side pushed down about halfway, but was still playable.
My question is, im not going to keep buying these things till they work, so is there a way to cheaply get around to making the pins fit in, like replacing them with a paper clip or anything?

not very hard at all, it just pushes right in with ease. Its not like im forcing it at all and its pushing in.
I should also mention that the ipod connector that uses the same hookup doesn't have this problem. So its not an issue with the female end..just the male end and these seemingly cheap connectors. guess what im asking...is there another way aside from the usb ad-on, like rigging it some way (like i said with paper clips or anything) to get this to work. Like how a LOC works if you dont have the RCA outputs...same concept.
