No
You can run it in parallel at 1 ohm (your amp is not 1 ohm stable so this does not apply)
or in series at 4ohms (this will get you 1x300watts @4ohms)

If your going to run a dual 2ohm sub then i suggest getting a 2 channel amp thats able to run 2ohm stereo
Example: Rockford Fosgate Power 1100a2 will run 2x730 watts@2ohms (stereo)
or 1x1490 watts@4ohms (mono)

You could just get the Dual 4 ohm version of the L5 and then run that Pioneer amp at 2 ohms mono and get the "rated" 600 watts out of it.
The problem is its Pioneer and it won't put out the kinda power that it claims, I suggest getting a different amp if you haven't already bought the Pioneer, look for something 1 ohm stable.
Hint, Hint: Rockford Fosgate T500-1bd

that T1500 will blow the L5 to hell even if its a 15.... L7 would be iffy on that amp.

Don't worry about it.

So you have not bought the sub then yet right?
From your post, I gather your saying your going to get the dual 4 ohm version instead, right?

That won't be too bad, then you can run it at 2ohms.
Its rated at 600 watts
Because its what I like to call an "Anti-Cheater" amp (over rated rather than under rated)
you might get 400 watts out of it.
You run 400 watts into a L5 and it will sound alright, provided you have a decent box.

Heres the thing, a big reason why I (can't speak for everyone else) knock Pioneer is the quality, now I'm not bitchin at you for buying it but rather warning you they have been known to take a premature dump on people, so what I'm saying is make plans to upgrade that amp in future, and hope the upgrade comes before the amp craps out, cuz once you have boom theres no going back
