Left Headlight Fuse keeps popping

The fuse on the left headlight pops when I plug the main black harness for the enitre heading in. I troubleshot the headlights and the bulbs are good. This is an HID plug and play set up from Murkley. I was working fine till yesterday and just started going. There are no char marks on any terminals or connectors.

I've cleaned the terminals but still it keeps popping.

What is the easiest way to fix this?
How do I actually troubleshoot the wires?
Do I need a voltmeter?

So if I swtich the headlights, the left one doesn't work on the right side. Can a bad HID bulb blow fuses?

Are you plugging these lights directly into the stock 9007 connector, or do you have a relay harness?

This plug and play kit from BuyHID (murkley's site) doesn't require a relay harness. I don't use the high beams and DRL.

I wonder if there is something wrong with the connector, causing a short. I've had loose plugs in the past cause some wierd electrical issues. Is it a 9007 connector, or just a bunch of loose blades?

This is the black harness that connects to the headlamp assembly. It connects snuggly to the acceptor.

1) Right headlight works.
2) Left headlight doesn't.
3) Right works when plugged into the left side
4) Left doesn't work when plugged into the right side
5) Fuse shorts out when headlamp assembly terminal is plugged in on the left with left headlight.
6) Fuse doesn't short when left headlamp is plugged in on the right side.

Really strange.

Correction:!:!:!:!:!:!

The right headlight when plugged into the left side harness pops the fuse and the HID will not go on. I need to get some fuses to see if the balist is good.

This thread has been mostly me just talking out the problem. HEHE. I should have done this on paper.

try swapping sides with the ballast. if the problem follows, then the ballast is bad, if not its something between the ballast and fuse box
