I actually used the Axxes one made from Metra but cant remeber the number for it. I know for a fact it works cause i just hooked up mine and my subs and tweets work fine. But it cost 50 bucks

Here you go i found it Axxess - XSVI2103 - CLASS II RAP + 12V ACC 04-07 CHEVY/PONTIAC

there is no module for the 2006 cobalt to keep onstar, you have to relocate your stock radio to keep the onstar. to keep the subs and amp working you just need the cheap 70-2103 harness and everything works perfect, trust me, tons of us have used it

NOPE

only wire i splice on the stock harness had to do with the steering wheel controls, nothing to get the stereo working with the stock pioneer sound system

To clarify, I'm removing the stock head unit and the stock amp. I'm putting in all new speakers, a new amp and a new head unit.

READ MY POST. YOU CANT RETAIN ONSTAR IN THE 05-06 cobalts without reloacating the stock stereo, there is no harness that will retain the onstar, that will only work on the 07 and up cobalts.

READ MY POST NEXT TIME, it says that

From Metra:

This will be difficult to explain. If you do not understand this, please call.
What you will need is the 99-3303 kit, quantity two SP-2003 speakers, a 95-3302 kit, and a 40-GM10 antenna adapter. You will have to remove the harness and display off the 99-3303 kit, and disregard the plastic kit. Then hide the display somewhere in the dash where you will not see the lighting of the display. Then cut the white and grey speaker wires coming out of the 99-3303's interface, and send to the SP-2003 speakers under the dash where they will be mounted.
You have to use the 99-3303 because it is the only interface we have for that vehicle to retain Onstar. You have to cut the speaker wires out of the interface to have the built in amp in the interface power the speakers because you are installing an aftermarket amplifier.

Just got off the phone with Matt. He states Metra would make one separately for the 06's but they only get "this" call once every 4-6 months so understandable. This will not do steering wheel controls so you will still need the Pac for that. All in all is seems like if you want to do things right or not relocate your stock HU, you need to allocate about $150 bucks for install parts on top of all your other gear in 06's with pioneer + onstar to retain onstar and radio controls. Most people would say eff onstar but I'm particular and don't like the idea of having buttons in my car that don't work.

yes you are correct and you are a know it all I suppose, that has worked on many car stereo's in his life

by the way it wouldnt have been the tools it would be the supplies

I get in this car stero fight once a week on here, except the problem is no one ever comes back to prove me wrong, because ive been right each and everytime.

You go buy this kit and try it and when it works for everythign you need come on here and show us, until then, your claims are useless
