Is my amp dead?
My amp won't power on. I'm pissed. I listened to a song on the way home from job #1. Got home, ate something, checked facebook, then went to job #2 and no music would play. It's not the radio, which works fine. Remote wire is fine, ALL fuses are good, and the amp has good power/ground. The fuse on the power line is good too.
What do I do? Anything else I can check? It's a 2011 Soundstream Rubicon 400w 4 channel amp. If It's not salvageable I'm buying an Alpine digital amp.

If it won't light up and all connections are good I'd say it died. It seems odd though considering it was okay and died while not in use. I guess try regrounding or replacing the fuses even if they look fine and see if that helps.

I'll do that after work tomorrow then. I need to buy a 5lb hammer to remove my strut bolts anyway. Maybe I'll put in some subs. A friend has two 10" Skar audio subs in a custom ported box for sale...

I took the radio out and ran the length of the wires checking for kinks, cuts, fraying, open surfaces, etc... Also got my multimeter involved where I could. I know I'm getting juice. I know I'm getting a signal from the remote wire. I know I have a good ground. I checked all three fuses on the amp and they are in tact.
EDIT: I just hooked up an amp a friend has and it works fine. So it has to be something wrong with the amp. I'm not too mad, the amp I have now only cost $150.
