i couldnt stand the 15" anymore so now i have 2 12's in a built in box.

 

Looks good to me. I can't wait to get a new system, but money is always the problem

what 15 did you have? and what 12s do you got now?

 

i had an MA audio 15 and now i have the pioneer premier 12's. I know car audio is generally not known for sound quality but tht was pretty bad. i was running 800RMS to the 15 in a ported box.

 

So you're saying the SQ was bad? or was it just too loud for you?

You should hear my car on the outside. LOL

I can bounce my cellphone almost a foot into the air by putting it on the trunk.

Also, the car ******* rattles like no tomorrow on the outside, but on the inside its nice clean bass.

It sounds so much better now that i'm running it on 2000w RMS of soundstream power, rather than "1000w RMS" of Sony power. Also, my amps dont overheat after 15 minutes of 20% volume. In fact, they don't overheat at all, I havent been able to overheat these ******* at all!

I'm guessing you have a 15" MT?

Hows the SQ? Is it louder than the 15" XXX?

 

ya well it was loud but no it sounded like **** lol. my 2 12's in a sealed box sound much better lol.

 

Ya my box and everything is made for the MT and it gets crazy loud with that sub in there but the mt isnt a sq sub by any means... it sounds pretty good at low volumes but once i crank it it gets nasty loud (plus the noise the roof makes when its flexing isnt too great) so i threw the XXX in there and its a night and day difference... cleaner and if you never saw/felt the mt you would think its just as loud. They both get loud but the MT hurts your eardrums and you can tell its "louder" from the overall effect on the car. But i cant wait to get my box made for the 2 XXX so i can do a better comparison....
