my system. Quality of Quantity I always say

Pioneer - P7700MP

Bazooka Single channel (sub) and Sony 4-channel (front and rear)

MTX - MXS1004 10"

MTX - TX6001R Component System

I also have kenwood 4-way 6x9s in the rear deck but that would have been a pointless picture. There are crossovers mounted inside the door panels for the components. And that bazooka amp has the available watercooling kit, which i have, just dont have a place to install it yet.

Do you want a 9500 10" woofer? I have one, I havent used it since I got rid of my civic. Know anybody that's interested if you're not? $150 + shipping.

i did, do you have metal tipped rca connectors, if you do, then you need to put a few layers of electrical tape over the metal inside your dash. you had to cut the plastic, right, to get the RCAs to fit there is a little metal support behind it that is touching the tips and giving you alternator noise i believe. i just put tape of that and i have no more problems. or you could just get a noise filter, but i dont know if they work well or not.

Buying quality amps cuts out on noise too. A good head unit with low THD is a big noise cutter, and using quality RCA's and properly grounding everything should eliminate distortion.

The noise filter works good. I had one in my old car. Cut out all the whining. I have whining in my car now. All memphis audio....and a pioneer in-dash. my buddy who I get all my audio equipment form says its because of the pioneer unit... I dunno

Nice clean setup by the way. MTX is great...Used to run it in my old car.

the wining is from your patch cables touching your frame behind you headunit, pioneer is great.

Same EXACT thing for me. If I didn't have to rip everything apart to run new I'd throw those damn metal headed RCA interconnects in the garbage!!!!!!!! When the deck is in place the metal headed RCAs touch the metal support and you get alternator whine. I insulated them with tape as well and it fixed the problem.

Which grounds did you re-do? Did you run a seperate ground for the head unit? I have my head unit grounded to a bolt under the dash, not running through the factory harness.

Also, I would suggest against using one of those RCA line noise filters. They will cause signal degradation. If anything, use a power line noise filter that will isolate a ground loop. You can get them from crutchfield for like $20 a pop (you'll need 2 - one for the constant and one for the switched power on the deck). I'm thinking that if you make sure your amp grounds are good (like to the bolt that the batter grounds to), the head unit has a good independent ground, and you don't have metal headed RCAs grounding out somewhere, the whine will go away.

running your rca cables with a power wire to close can cause noise.Like near the main power wire going to the alternator.Use a good quality RCA cable will result in better sound also.

this is true, but the power wire doesnt run down the car, it stays in the trunk. the remote wire isnt strong enough to give noise.
