Name that connector!
Name that connector!
What is the name of the connector on the stock SS/SC boost gauge?
It looks very much like a Deutsch connector, but it has flat pins as opposed to round pins commonly found in the Deutsch.
If any one knows what it's called, or where I can find both the male and female ends for cheap, it would be a big help. And in case people haven't figured it out, I'm making an extension harness to mount the stock gauge in the dash, without doing any snip-snip.

mid day bump...

Thanks.
Because radioshack connectors are junk.

Still junk...
There is a reason I use high grade connectors, or at least OEM spec.
If you look at my HID retrofit, all the electrical is double 16AWG wire, using GM color codes, terminated to weatherpack connections.
I see enough military grade wiring harnesses roll though work... So it's hard to half-ass it at home.

i know what you mean.....i work on huey's and cobras...and all the connectors i have ever built are immaculate.........but those connectors at radio shack or any auto parts arent that bad....some good soldering or crimping....and some silicone to waterproof them...and they work pretty dam good

I forgot, in the US, radioshack actually stocks some half decent stuff...
Up here it's your basic blade and butt connectors.... junk.
I have to order all my good stuff from Mouser and Digikey... a bit of a hassle if I need something now, but I've developed a good account with both companies.
