navigation?

navigation?

i was wondering if it was possible to put a double din navigation in a car that didnt originally come with navigation... just wondering... i found a great deal on a pioneer in-dash navigation system, link

If the car has a double din opening then it shouldnt matter if it had it or b 4. And if your talking about the Avic-D3 in cobalts then it will work. a lot of ppl on here already have it setup.

i have the avic n3. thats the flipout version of the D3. i wouldve got the D3 but i got a really good price on a N3

if youve wired an aftermarket unit in another car b 4 then its not all that difficult. Check and see if anyone wrote a "hot to" on that. the one im getting has the Double-din unit and the Nav hdd seperate so im have it installed professionally.

Its probably pretty difficult.. i have the AVIC-D3 and if you want your navigation to even work at all or to watch movies you have to hook up the VSS sensor. Also, if you want your chimes retained, you need an expensive wire harness 130$ at least. good luck! worst pain in the ass ive ever been through.
