Need amp help!

ok i just bought a 2007 Kicker Solobaricks L7 10" sub and box. It says its duel 2 ohms but its pre-wired for 4 ohms. Whats a good amp i need? I looked at the ZX750.1 mono but it says at 4ohms its only 375 RMS and this sub is 600RMS. Im kinda lost here. Any help would be awesome thanks

i have a 12" L5 600RMS and feeding it 550RMS and it still wants more.... although i have to turn it down cause its too much bass for the stock pioneer high end, but when i upgrade it all i will get a biggger amp too. The trick is to get a bigger amp, just turn the gain down, that way you get better SQ.

depending on if you wire the amps at series or parallel, you can double or 1/2 the ohms they use
look for an amp that puts out around 600w RMS @ 2ohm and it will sound awesome

a dual 2 can never be 2 ohms so dont get a mono block.... if you really want one get a 1ohm stable mono block but you will need to rewire. the easiest thing to do is get a 2 chan amp and bridged to the 4 ohm load

first "?"
is this your sub and box
there are 2 models for 10L7's

TS10L7

VS10L7

both subs are a 10L7 design (in each of those loaded boxes) and both the subs can have a Dual 4Ohm MOdel or Dual 2Ohm Model..... Depending on wheater you have Dual2 Or Dual4 Will determine what amp you (pic below for what you can change the configuration into)

You said you looked at a ZX750.1
kicker wedsite says 750W X 1 ay 2 Ohms (its probrably less then 750 actually measured, but thats what kicker says)

if you have the dual 4Ohm sub, that it would just need to be wired in Parrallel Configuration to Get it down to 2Ohms.. and you could easly power it with that amp....

Kicker ZX750.1= 375x1@4ohms
750x1@2ohms

1 single voice coil sub running off a mono amp will draw 4ohms
1 dual voice coil sub running off a mono amp will draw 2ohms (wired in parallel)

Unless your sub box has 2 speaker imputs on the side of it then it should be prewired for parallel. If not pull the sub out disconnect the speaker inputs take 2 pieces of speaker wire , hook them up (individually) to each voice coil then at the other end twist the pos. together and the neg together then hook them up to the back of the input on the side of the box. then run a pos. and neg. from the amp to the sub box and voila.. Your now running each voice coil @ a 2ohm load plus running the amp at 2ohm getting the max amount of power out of it. The Kicker ZX750.1 @ 2ohms should pound the hell out of that sub (dont run the amp at full gain, you will fry the sub in a couple weeks, I wouldn't go much farther than 2/3 power thatr should give you about 550w)

Wanted to add this
I have a 600 watt amp running 2 800 watt 10's and it rattles my fillings loose
If your really stuck on what amp to get try this one trust me it works
Its a JBL GTO 600.1 Mark 2 and whatever amp you get make sure you use a cap. unless you want your headlights to be a strobelight disco
