Need Help With SWCI

I bought an Axxess Steering wheel Control interface for my aftermarket dvd Unit. The problem is that the instructions are telling me to connect my front left speaker to the battery. This is not my first stereo install. This sounds wrong to me and hence why I'm asking what to do. This is my first SWC install. Have any of you used this before and how did you hook it up. The website for the SWC is, www.axxessinterface.com . There are install instructions on the website but I think they're wrong.

06 ss/sc pioneer system. The picture I get is correct but the written instructions is what has me puzzled.

Instruction #4 tells me to connect A10 from my radio to my 12V remote wire. A10 is a speaker wire. Everything makes sense until #4. I think they are confused/wrong because they have 2 #4s.
