need some help!

i've installed aftermarket head units and speakers quite a few times, so i'm not completely ignorant to car audio. but i'm new to amps and subs. i just got 2 10" MTX road thunder subs, and a 300 watt jensen amp from a buddy of mine and i need to know what exactly i need to hook it all up with a stock HU.
i'm assuming a speaker level converter of some sort for the wires spliced from the 6x9's, a power cable with an inline fuse, and speaker wire but i wanna know for sure i have absolutely everything i need so i don't get it all together then fry my amp and/or blow my subs.
also where did you guys wire up your amp so it shuts off with the car just straight to a 12v in the fuse box that shuts off with the car?
they're going in an '07 ls.

i know the RMS of the amp isn't quite enough for the subs but the price was right so i'll deal till i have the money for a better amp, this is a temporary set up till i get the cash for the system i want.

If the amp accepts speaker level input, do that from the 6x9s. If it doesn't then line out converter to RCA.

just buy a amp kit and that will have pretty much everything you need (except maybe RCA's)

and you already said speaker wire/line out converter

6ft rcas, power/ground wire (i would buy off a spool if you have the chance. 6ft of each so you can ground straight to the batt) fuseholder/fuse, remote wire, speaker wire, line output converter, 10mm nut
