need some help

ok so 3 days ago my stock radio started acting very wierd, the volume control will turn it off, on settings and am/fm but nothing else will work besides changing saved preset radio stations. the next morning my car wouldnt start, hooked up a battery charger to it and it started right up radio still doing goofy ****. the next day it was fine radio still acting goofy. today would not start took it to battery warehouse they said my battery was fine did not see anything wrong.
i have hids but i dont think theyd kill anything i have a 1200w amp and 2 1100w subs been in car for a year and a half with no problems. can anyone give me some hindsight on what the problem may be?

Please check that your grounds are tight, as well as the clamp on the positive terminal. Check the ones on the battery as well as the grounds screwed underneath the rear deck. Voltage fluctuations will cause any electronic devices to act funky. If that is not the problem, report back and we'll look elsewhere. Sweet looking lights by the way...wish I had a turbo'd balt

and also it's insight, not hindsight

just remember its paramount u buy a pioneer package radio not a base radio and keep it in the same years (05-06 or 07+)

if you are going to go out and spend 400+ on a factory radio then your better off going to a shop that knows their stuff and pick out a good radio to put in! ik alot of people want the factory but the fact is youll get better sound from and aftermarket radio over factory. two there is probable something wrong inside of the radio that is messed up reading the class II data bus and it just stays on without really being on, go out and get an aftermarket and save yourself the trouble of paying huge amounts on labor costs at the dealer!!!
