New custom box (pics)

Just got my new custom box in, Brad Horman who goes by xtremesounds on css.net built it for me...slot tuned to 35 hz (34.74hz.......technically.) he carpeted it and everything and it looks well built, although I haven't put the sub in yet.

Sorry I cant get the pics to work so here are links to them

I know its just a box but I just wanted to post up some of his work if anyone else is also looking to get a box made, he did it for a fair price as well, my local shop wanted 300$ for a custom ported.

let me know what you think

Looks good, what's the cu. volume on that? Looking at the size I'm gonna guess 2.

I was gonna do a slot ported box, but the port would've been really long, and a pain to put together. I ended up just buying and aero port and calling it a day.

i really wanted it to be rear firing since they tend to be louder, and a rear firing aero port would look weird IMO, but yea i was going to try to make my own box, but tuning and all that **** is crazy talk to me

and i dont remember the exact cu ft but im pretty sure it was 3-3.25. it looks bigger in person.

Wow, it must be deeper than it looks. It looks really nice, though.

The rear firing aero port on my box does look a little funky, but I didn't mind it too much. It won't be in there for much longer though. Gonna build another sealed box this weekend for my SE12. I bet that Fi is gonna be louuuuuuud.

x2 on that brace.
Box has alot of space in it, with the sub being off the one side its bound to cause some flex.
At the very least do the front to back.

Box looks nice, bet its going to sound good to.
Now you need an amp rack

I always wondered how to do that post build.
I figured either 45 degree angles or put support pieces on either side and then screw into that.

Brickloaf- Your gonna need some sound dead. now if your going to run that kinda power into that sub, its going to pound real nice. Make sure you pay close attention to the back wall around the trunk latch and the trunk lid if your going to face it to the back. Nothings worse than pulling up beside some guy at a light and the rattle drowns out the bass.

i alreayd ordered the Fi BTL...but yea added the brace, and spun i have 2 layers of damp pro on the trunk lid, and 1 layer everywhere else on the back wall...

damp pro on both sides of the deck lid with maybe 85% coverage on each side. and the wheelwell is also all covered up

my worst rattle is the heatshield under the car, sounds terrible and isnt easy to fix unless you have a lift IMO...i got it to stop once but now when i close my doors or trunk i can hear it rattle underneath, i cant imagine what the btl woudl do to it

I have a question kind of related.
The sound dead. that is ment for going under your hood, doesn't really matter what company I'm just talking in general.
Could I put that around clothes dryer vent tube. The one that runs from the dryer to the wall.

u can put it everywhere. its just ment to keep the sound in and keep it from escaping or it deadens the blow of bass b4 it gets to the pannel.
