New, need a little help, thanks

Hi, my name is Matt and i'm trying to help a friend hook up a mono amp to his factory
equipment.

He has an '07 Cobalt SS with the factory 10" in the trunk.

I've read through the stickies and I think I know what we need to do.

The amp we're using is an Infinity 610a and it does not have speaker level
inputs, so we need to use a Line Output Converter.

I'm confused with where to hook up the LOC.

I read in the sticky that you can use either the factory sub wires or you can
use the factory speaker wires. But then I read in the link to another thread that
I can only use the sub wires if I have an amp with a high level converter in it.

For the majority of people this is what they will have to do.
Why can't I use the factory sub wires to hook up a sub amp with an LOC?

Thanks

u can use whatever speaker wires you want actually. stock sub wires are just a lil easier and less evasive but if u really want u can use the front or rear wires as well

fyi high level inputs and LOC are pretty much the same thing only difference is one is built inside the amp

Yes, thank you. The amp does not have one built in. Probably going with a
Stinger LOC since I see those all over.
