Ok guys i have an 08 G5-GT (SS/NA) its got power everything. Now the driver side window was a one touch down control, but the my pasg side button and the pasg's button do not. The question at hand is can i just replace the other 2 buttons with the driver side button type, and give all my windows one touch down, or is it way more work then that?

I don't think it will work.....

I have a Viper alarm system (5900) with window automation (they put one extra motor in each door), so now, both of my windows are automated up & down. But the swtiches in the car only make it go up & down, I can't exactly regulate how high/low they go, unless I use my Viper remote.

 

You might be able to rig up something like what saab does. I was in a 9-3 convertible once that had one extra switch that put all the windows down at once. If I looked at the wiring schematic I'm sure I could figure out how to hook something like that up. Then you would just have to find the right switch with an express down feature and find a place to mount it, maybe in the center console somewhere. I have contemplated the same thing before but never really looked into it yet.

 

Or check Scion...its one touch both up and down, on the tC.

DUDE!!! i was thinking about that same exact thing...like what if you got another driver switch panel and replaced the switch

btw theres only 2 buttons...2 door car ya know??

try gettin the switch out of the 08 HHR...its got the new 2 button roof switch 1 for auto slide and the other for tilt

lol **** the passenger they can hold the damn switch for all i care...shouldnt even be touching it in the first place....all u do in my car is sit in the seat...u dont move the seat, touch the radio, adjust the windows or anything else...just sit and enjoy the ride

 

I've done one touch sun roofs, convertible tops, and windows with Autopage alarms, I'm sure Viper and other do it too. The last one I did was an 07 Mustang Convertible which was really annoying, you had to hold the button town for 14seconds to open or close the top.

Just buying some buttons will not work.

LOL jk but seriously it would be a cool mod to do but i think way to many peeps were thinking swaping buttons was going to do something. Sorta like saying u want auto door locks so your going to replace the handle
