I know just unplugging it won’t hurt but I don’t know if leaving it undone will be ok or not I think it’s just a indicator light

it probably will set off your airbag light... unplug the whole black piece from the dash bezel and leave it hanging below/behind the radio or something

^^ I'd just do that too. Leave it still attached just hide it away

good to know. we never turn the car on with those indicators off at the shop because every once in a while it will and its not worth it to hope it doesnt and mess up every once in a while. I figured it wasnt too big of an issue since ive never had my seat belt indicator plug plugged in since the first time i took out my seats i guess (ive seen the plug multiple times but always dismissed it and barely found the port for it to plug in on sunday)

It's hit or miss. I know from experience. I think that if you leave it unplugged all together that it will set off a warning signal in the DIC. But see, I have mine plugged in, but UNDER the seat because I have the Ion Recaros and there is no sensor in them. So until I put in under the cushion, it just hides out under the seat. About 40% of the time I'll get the airbag light and it'll say something like "check airbag" in the DIC. But if all you want to do is remove the indicator from the dash, just pull it out and leave it inside the dash. It won't hurt anything in there. I originally wanted to pull it and put a few switches in it's place..
