pics INSTALLED ECLIPSE avn 660.. WITH REAR VIEW CAM :)

I got the camera set up so i can look at it while im driving forward to...it sees in my blindspots a little bit...pretty bad ass.

the sound quality of the speakers is alot better

The guy who installed it said that he could not find a speed sensor adapter for our car for the unit ...its the Eclipse avn 660. anyone kno where i might be able to find one? the navi works better than my last handheld one....but would be better with that adapter.

it also has a seperate disk slot for the map disk...so i can switch from dvd to navi while im drivin.

im going to fix that big black license plate frame ...ct some off to make it a litte more low key

Did you use the wire harness to keep your onstar or anything? I have onstar and I dont really want to loose that if at all possible.... But I love the look of that head unit. It looks awesome man!

The unit was 1699$ ...and i dont have on star...not sure if the harness would change that.. but i still have my door chimes and what not ...and that will be cool having it go on when u go to reverse..or the option not

thanks again for the props guys...any idea on that speed sensor adaptor...???

Yea ..not to sure if we have any....."cannabis enthusiasts" on the site...but at night with tinted windows and this units "theater" sound setting....its so badass to drive around watching s good comedy....and burnin a fat one

I am thinkin about painting the actual peice that holds it silver to try and match the stock dash peices...but i dunno if i can find a paint that looks like that.

Nice man, I just installed my AVIC-D3 with a backup camera and I love it. I know you can tap into the PCM under the hood for the VSS but it is not worth the hassle - I have used these nav units with and without the vss wire and the only time it will screw up the nav is when you are in a tunnel or where you can't get a clear gps signal. The speed is actually tracked from the gps satellites too not just from the VSS wire.

Also, do you have a problem with the camera at light when your license plate light is on? I need to install a relay or something to get the plate light to turn off when the camera turns on because the light just floods the picture at night.

I am leaning toward the KENWOOD DNX7100 or the ECLIPSE AVN6610. Most lickley the Kenwood do to the price. Does anyone have any opinions on those?

OEM = Original Equipment Manufacturer
Basically saying "looks OEM" is a quick way of saying "it looks like it came that way from the factory"
